SOU Recital Hall, Theatres, and OCA Box Office
Located in the center of Ashland, Oregon on the Southern Oregon University Campus, the SOU Music Recital Hall, SOU Main Stage, Black Box Theatres as well as the OCA Box Office are all located at 450 S. Mountain Avenue and the Schneider Museum of Art, SOU Art Building, and Center for Visual Arts Galleries are located at the opposite end of campus, which is an easy walk from almost anywhere in Ashland and a short drive from most of the Rogue Valley.
The SOU Music Recital Hall is one of the best in the Pacific Northwest. It is located inside the SOU Music Building at 450 S. Mountain Avenue, with a small and intimate hall, with upper and lower seating accommodating up to 436 people. It has a state-of-the-art sound system and most of our performances are live streamed on the Oregon Center for the Arts YouTube Channel here: www.youtube.com/c/oregoncenterforthearts.
The SOU Main Stage and Black Box Theatres are located at 491 S. Mountain Avenue next to the OCA Box Office and the SOU Music Recital Hall. Both are small venues seating 302 people in the large theatre with graduated seating, and a small intimate space in the Black Box with up to 90 seats in a variety of configurations so there are no “bad” seats for our shows. Parking is also free for all performances and is available across the street from both the Music and Theatre Buildings in Lot #36.
The OCA Box Office is located between the Music and Theatre buildings and is open during the academic year mid-September through mid-June. The hours may vary due to holidays and breaks during the year but are typically open Monday through Friday from 10am-6pm and one hour prior to all OCA ticketed performances. Tickets can be ordered online at sou.universitytickets.com or by calling 541.552.6348 and emailing boxoffice@sou.edu.
